New 2024 Buick Enclave Dimensions, AWD, Specs – Because it was replacing several older SUVs and a minivan all at once, General Motors introduced the Buick Enclave with a low profile. The Enclave also received the 2014 “Affordable Midsize SUV” award from U.S. News & World Report. For the 2024 model year and later, the SUV’s exterior dimensions were reduced to move it from the full-size to the midsize crossover segment. The Enclave, the GMC Acadia, and the Chevrolet Traverse are all built on General Motors’ renowned C1XX platform. The SUV’s appearance has also been refreshed for the new model year.
If you’re looking for a vehicle that offers a lot for the money, the 2023 Buick Enclave is a great option. The SUV shines in almost every category but is especially notable for its plush interior and smooth driving experience. Additionally, the Enclave has a significantly lower base price than its direct rivals. The SUV has many standard safety features, beginning with the driver assistance features that come on all but the base model. The Buick Enclave seems like a decent car for daily use and transporting small families.
New 2024 Buick Enclave Redesign
The Enclave is revitalized after its 2024 makeover. With its new hood, revised grille, and slimmer headlights, the reserved SUV looks more refined than ever. New wheel designs spruce up the profile, distinctive Evonik LED taillights and a chromed liftgate garnish are found in the rear. It’s a significant upgrade over the unknown model from 2021.
The 2024 Buick Enclave SUV is mainly indistinguishable in size from the 2023 model. This midsize premium vehicle comfortably seats five adults with a length of 204.8 inches (0.5 in more extended than the previous model) and a wheelbase of 120.9 inches. The Enclave is a colossal beast, with a width of 89.3 inches (including the side mirrors) and a height of 69.9 inches (including the luggage rack).
The Enclave is a heavy SUV. The Avenir AWD is a heavy beast, tipping the scales at a whopping 4,685 pounds. The base Essence FWD model weighs 4,359 lbs., while the AWD models are heavier at 5,059 lbs. The top trim level of the Buick is not only longer and broader than the XC90 but also bulkier. The Enclave’s ground clearance of only 7.5 inches is significantly lower than the Swede’s 8.8 inches.
Interior
The 2024 Buick Enclave has a decent list of standard features, so the cabin should be comfortable. First, the Enclave provides an exceptionally roomy cabin, particularly in the first and second rows, with plenty of room for both lead and leg. Although GM’s dashboard design is deliberately spare, it still looks sleek and contemporary. The controls and information screen on the dashboard are also set up with the driver in mind. They face the front of the car.
In addition to standard three-zone automatic climate control and a digital inside rearview mirror (IRVM) that allows you to visit the rear of the vehicle even when the rearview is obstructed by cargo, the Premium trim includes several other niceties. Leather upholstery is standard, and the dashboard has a soft-touch finish with white contrast stitching. The seats in the first two rows are spacious and supportive, while those in the third row are cramped, even for children. From the base trim up, full power front seat adjustments and heating are expected, with ventilation included in the Premium trim.
Engine
There will be only one powertrain option for the 2024 Enclave SUV. The 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque produced by the 3.6-liter V6 engine are more than adequate. All models arrive standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission that can either power the front or all four wheels.
Enclave’s target market doesn’t care much about absolute performance in the grand scheme. Independent testing indicates the Enclave can reach 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds, though Buick does not report top speed or acceleration figures. Even so, 310 hp is plenty to move the SUV along at a respectable clip.
With the optional $650 Trailering Package, the Enclave can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is excellent news if you need to move around some weighty cargo. This is more than the 3,500 lbs. of the Acura MDX and the 5,000 lbs. of the Volvo XC90 (or 5,000 kg. for the T5 FWD), but less than the 5,000 lbs. that can be towed by the Japanese competitor’s AWD system.
New 2024 Buick Enclave Release Date and Price
The all-new 2024 Buick Enclave will hit dealership lots this fall. Prices for the entry-level Essence model start at $42,800 and rise to a maximum of $55,100 for the top-tier Avenir model. The same 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque is used as before. Although its acceleration is not particularly impressive, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The 2024 Buick Enclave is scheduled to debut in the summer in the United States.
